Okay so this December I’m going to try and re-read all the Harry Potter books AND make an illustration per chapter. Along with the illustration will be a few quotes I loved from the book.
So here goes Chapter 1 from Book 1!
p.s – What do you think about this idea?
p.p.s – I know the illustration isn’t perfect but meh.
* ‘He bent his great, shaggy head over Harry and gave him what must have been a very scratchy, whiskery kiss.’

* Mr and Mrs Dursley, of number four, Private Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.

Yeah and my mum wouldn’t pester me about being 18 and yet reading children’s books. Because lets face it, we’re not going to stop even if we’re 60. 😜

Yup. Once you’re in you’ll be wishing for Hogwarts till in your Dumbledore phase. I hope they make this book covers. So. Good.

It doesn’t help that we literally NEED all the editions even if we already own the books because they’re absolutely gorgeous. Damn bloomsbury.

Yes!! I was so tempted to buy that edition where it forms a castle but I just bought young adult version one Bloomsbury put out.

I’m a fan of this idea – the whole art transcending a single form, ie words to pictures, is rather awesome – but I doubt I’ll be keeping up with your efforts much. Basically my knowledge of the Harry Potter universe extends to the first film which I saw on video years ago, and the Quidditch World Cup game on PS2 – I’ve not seen any more films, nor read any of the books, so I don’t want to get into the series until I’ve (at least) read the books for myself.
Also feel free to judge me for being into books and stuff without having read Harry Potter – others have judged, and it’s totally cool.

Is it ever explained in the books why Bulgaria’s so awesome? It seemed a bit random when I played it.

Although I do know Bulgarians had the best team. They were in the finale in the fourth book. So yeah ‘I suppose’ *sheepish grin*
